币界网报道:Ripple has partnered with cross-chain interoperability protocol Wormhole to enhance XRP Ledger's (XRPL) multichain capabilities, enabling seamless asset and data transfers across over 30 blockchain networks. The collaboration will integrate Wormhole's messaging protocol with XRPL, allowing developers to build decentralized applications (dApps) that leverage XRP's liquidity while accessing assets from Ethereum, Solana, and other major chains. Ripple's President Monica Long emphasized the move aligns with their vision to position XRPL as a hub for institutional DeFi, noting Wormhole's "battle-tested" infrastructure already processes over 2 million cross-chain messages daily. Wormhole contributor Robinson Burkey highlighted the partnership will unlock new use cases by combining XRPL's speed (settling transactions in 3-5 seconds) with broader blockchain interoperability. The integration comes as Ripple expands XRPL's DeFi ecosystem following last year's AMM and lending protocol launches, with developers now able to apply for grants through Wormhole's ecosystem fund to build cross-chain projects on XRPL.
