币界网报道:Kraken has obtained a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from Ireland's Central Bank, enabling the crypto exchange to operate across all 30 European Economic Area countries. The license marks a significant step in Kraken's European expansion, complementing its existing virtual asset service provider registrations in seven EU nations. Co-CEO Arjun Sethi stated the approval strengthens Kraken's position to expand services for both retail and institutional clients under EU regulations. The MiCA framework, fully implemented in late 2023, establishes uniform crypto asset rules across the EU. This development follows Coinbase's recent MiCA licensing in Luxembourg, while Gemini and OKX pursue similar approvals in Malta.
