Story explained that the IP Vault is a secure on-chain storage space attached to IP assets, used to store confidential IP data on Story. These IP Vaults are protected by the network and accessible only to the IP owner and their licensees. The Vault itself does not store the original files, but rather the encryption keys used to unlock these files, regardless of where the files are hosted (e.g., IPFS, Shelby). After registering an IP, the IP owner can attach confidential information to the IP Vault at any time.
