币界网报道:Zama, a Paris-based cryptography startup specializing in fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), has raised $73 million in a Series A funding round led by Multicoin Capital and Protocol Labs, with participation from Metaplanet, Blockchange Ventures, VSquared, and Stake Capital. The investment brings Zama's total funding to $85 million and values the company at over $400 million. Zama's FHE technology enables computations on encrypted data without decryption, offering potential applications in blockchain, AI, and healthcare. The company plans to use the funds to expand its open-source libraries and developer tools, including the "fhEVM" for encrypted blockchain transactions. CEO Rand Hindi highlighted growing enterprise demand for privacy-preserving technologies, particularly in Web3 and decentralized AI. Zama has already deployed solutions with partners like Fhenix and Inco, and its technology is being tested by major financial institutions. The funding marks one of the largest rounds in the enterprise encryption sector this year.
