币界网报道:Zama, the developer of the privacy-focused Confidential Blockchain Protocol, has secured $57 million in a Series B funding round led by Pantera Capital and Blockchange, valuing the company at over $1 billion. The funding coincides with the upcoming launch of Zama's testnet on July 1. Co-founder Rand Hindi announced the team has developed a highly efficient Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) scheme, enabling "confidential smart contracts" as a cross-chain privacy layer atop existing blockchains. The protocol combines FHE, multi-party computation, and lightweight zero-knowledge proofs to ensure end-to-end encryption and programmable confidentiality, preventing even node operators from accessing transaction data. Currently processing 20 transactions per second, Zama aims to scale to 10,000+ tps per chain using hardware accelerators like ASICs. Initially supporting Ethereum Virtual Machine, the protocol will expand to Solana and is designed to be quantum-resistant.
