最新报道:According to Bijie.com, on September 4 (UTC+8), Dr. Wu Jiezhuang, a member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, delivered an opening speech at DePIN Expo 2025 on the afternoon of August 27th, systematically outlining Hong Kong's regulatory progress and market opportunities in the virtual asset sector. Wu Jiezhuang stated that Hong Kong has been promoting two key pieces of legislation since the end of 2022: a regulatory framework for centralized virtual asset exchanges. The Securities and Futures Commission has already issued 11 licenses to ensure compliance and investor safety; and the Stablecoin Ordinance, which officially came into effect on August 1, 2023. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority is proceeding with the review process and expects to issue the first batch of licenses early next year. He also revealed that Hong Kong plans to introduce regulations for over-the-counter exchanges and custodial services next year to further strengthen the virtual asset ecosystem. Citing data, Wu Jiezhuang noted that the global value of data assets is approximately $4 trillion, 93% of which are native tokens. Tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) still account for less than 1%, demonstrating enormous potential for the future. He stressed that Hong Kong will work with the United States to promote industry innovation and called on entrepreneurs to seize the development opportunities of DePIN and RWA.
