Philippines Launches Blockchain Portal for Budget Transparency

最新报道：The Philippines has launched a blockchain-powered portal called "Budget and Treasury Management System" (BTMS) to enhance transparency in government spending. Developed by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the system records budget allocations, disbursements, and procurement data on-chain, allowing real-time public tracking. Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno stated this initiative aims to reduce corruption and improve fiscal accountability. The portal currently covers 158 national agencies and will expand to local governments by 2024. This marks Southeast Asia's first large-scale government adoption of blockchain for budget management.
