币界网报道:Ripple has integrated Wormhole, a prominent cross-chain messaging protocol, into the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and its EVM-compatible sidechain to enhance multichain interoperability. The upgrade enables seamless transfers of XRP, issued assets, and multi-purpose tokens across over 35 blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche, while supporting cross-chain smart contract interactions. Ripple CTO David Schwartz emphasized that interoperability is crucial for mass adoption, allowing tokens natively issued on XRPL to move across networks while maintaining issuance control. The development aligns with XRPL's growing role in institutional adoption and real-world asset tokenization, exemplified by Dubai's first real estate tokenization platform built on the ledger. Ripple also issues its regulated stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD), with a $400 million supply across XRP and Ethereum chains.
