The lawsuit stems from YouTube's suspension of Trump's account following the Capitol Hill riots. This settlement makes YouTube, owned by Google (GOOG.O), the last tech giant to reach a settlement with Trump. Trump filed lawsuits against three social media platforms in the months after leaving the White House. Meta Platforms agreed in January to pay $25 million (most of which will go to the Trump Presidential Library Fund), while X Platform agreed to pay $10 million (most of which will go directly to Trump). According to court documents, Trump will receive $22 million of the settlement, which will be donated to the nonprofit National Mall Trust to build a Mar-a-Lago-style ballroom at the White House.
