最新报道:According to Bijie.com, the Placeholder team has published a paper analyzing the decentralization and sustainability challenges of the Solana blockchain network's validator set. Solana currently faces a concentration issue among validators, with the majority of staked stake concentrated in a small number of nodes. This stems from the positive feedback loop of the stake-weighted reward mechanism, and inflationary rewards further exacerbate this imbalance. To mitigate this issue, the paper proposes optimizations across several mechanisms within the Solana core protocol. Alpenglow, a recently adopted high-performance consensus mechanism, while primarily focused on performance improvements, also introduces several economic design considerations that impact the fairness of the validator set, such as setting a cap on active validators and adjusting voting costs. Furthermore, dynamic inflation schemes (such as the SIMD-228 proposal) and optimized VAT (Voting Account Transaction) pricing are also potential targets for adjustment. By comprehensively optimizing these mechanisms, it is expected to achieve a more balanced distribution of validator stake, thereby improving the overall decentralization of the network.
