The startup, which competes with Google by offering conversational search answers, has now raised $1.5 billion in total funding. Its annual recurring revenue is nearing $200 million. In August, Perplexity offered to buy Google’s Chrome for $34.5 billion, but a recent federal ruling allows Google to retain its browser.
