New York Fed survey: Artificial intelligence will have little impact on employment

最新报道：According to a New York Fed survey, the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) is increasing among surveyed companies, but its impact on employment has been minimal to date. 40% of service sector companies and 26% of manufacturing companies used AI in the past year, up from 25% and 16% respectively. Most companies reported retraining employees rather than laying off employees. Looking ahead, nearly half of service sector companies and a third of manufacturers plan to adopt AI soon. However, the New York Fed warned that future consolidation could lead to more layoffs and reduced hiring, especially in high-paying positions.
