最新报道:According to CoinWorld, Maghnus Mareneck, co-CEO of Interchain Labs, the business unit of Cosmos, explained the importance of interoperability in stablecoin payments. With the accelerating global adoption of stablecoins, more and more institutions are exploring the launch of their own tokens. However, they quickly encounter several challenges. One key issue remains the choice of blockchain. Interchain Labs co-CEO Maghnus Mareneck stated that more and more companies will choose to create their own chains. Mareneck explained that interoperability is crucial in this environment, citing a recent example in Japan. With $1.3 billion in stablecoins issued in the first half of 2025, awareness of their use cases is growing. Notably, on August 22, SMBC Group, one of Japan's largest banks, partnered with several blockchain companies to utilize stablecoins in security token payments. "Stablecoins are one of the most impactful use cases for cryptocurrencies, and companies are recognizing this," Mareneck said. "We're constantly receiving panicked calls from company executives asking what this will mean for their business and how they can get ahead of it," he added. The new system will reduce fees and increase settlement speeds. At the same time, the programmability of blockchain eliminates counterparty risk. Crucially, the partnership will leverage the IBC protocol and the Cosmos (ATOM) stack to achieve interoperability between multiple blockchains. With such high interest in stablecoins, it's only a matter of time before more companies adopt them. Furthermore, he believes that soon, every major company will have its own layer-1 blockchain network, backed by its own stablecoin or token. These could include tokens similar to Starbucks gift cards, all tradable on different networks. "As companies get bigger, they ultimately choose to control their own infrastructure. This is a major trend. Cloud was once a major trend, but one major tech company after another decided to abandon it," said Mareneck. He noted that the Cosmos SDK allows developers to quickly build custom blockchains, while IBC connects them. While he acknowledged that launching on different chains is easier, launching on layer 1 allows companies to capture value from all their activities. Mareneck explained that the shift to more interoperable blockchains also benefits consumers. While banks and blockchain projects may both want to lock users into their own networks, cross-chain interoperability provides users with more choice and power. Mareneck claims that even governments can't resist this trend. "Governments have been trying to shut down the cryptocurrency industry for years. Even Cosmos was debanked," Mareneck said. "This technology is unstoppable and will likely outlast any government."
