最新报道:According to Bijie.com, River states that individuals still own the majority of Bitcoin. The US-based Bitcoin financial services company disclosed an ownership distribution study dated August 25, 2025, in a recent X post. The study divides the supply into several categories and shows the share River attributes to each, using public documents, custodial address markers, and early blockchain research. River estimates that individuals control approximately 65.9% of the circulating BTC, or 13.83 million coins. This category includes self-custodial wallets and exchange accounts that River categorizes as individuals. On the institutional side, River divides holdings into corporations and ETFs and funds. Based on sovereign addresses tracked by River from public sources, governments hold approximately 1.5%, or 306,000 BTC. Two special categories round out the distribution: Finally, approximately 5.2% of the supply, or 1.09 million BTC, remains unmined until the 21 million hard cap is reached. In short, River's research attempts to paint a picture of who holds Bitcoin today, rather than predict future prices. These estimates are not definitive, as custodians aggregate many clients, some wallets are misclassified, and ownership can be opaque. River concludes that individuals still dominate, but the institutional share is expanding, driven by the growth of ETFs and companies now holding Bitcoin as a balance sheet asset.
