最新报道:According to a report from Bijie.com on August 28th, Fortune reported that 184 public companies have announced cryptocurrency purchases totaling nearly $132 billion this year. However, research has found that some small public companies have experienced suspicious stock price fluctuations before announcing their cryptocurrency reserve plans. The report noted that SharpLink's stock price rose from $3 to $6 in the three trading days before announcing its plan to purchase $425 million worth of Ethereum, without any material disclosure (no SEC filings or press releases). Five other companies experienced unusual stock price fluctuations before cryptocurrency purchases: MEI Pharma, Kindly MD, Empery Digital, Fundamental Global, and 180 Life Sciences Corp. Peter Cziraki, a finance professor at Texas A&M University, stated that this pattern is similar to insider trading in traditional mergers and acquisitions. To address the risk of information leakage, some companies, such as CEA Industries, have implemented new measures, disclosing their stock symbols to investors after the market closes to reduce the possibility of premature disclosure.
