Trump proposes renaming Department of Defense 'Department of War'

最新报道：According to a report from Bijie.com, Trump announced on Monday that his administration may rename the Department of Defense (Pentagon) to the "Department of War" in the coming days. He said that officials will "very likely" restore the Pentagon to its former, more offensive name in about a week. Trump said: "When we won World War I and World War II, it was called the Department of War. To me, that's its true essence." Trump has hinted several times in recent weeks that the old name may be restored. At the NATO summit in June, he called Hegseth "Secretary of War." He said: "If you look at the old building next to the White House, you can still see the sign that said Secretary of War. Then we became politically correct and called him Secretary of Defense."
