The merged entity, to be listed on Nasdaq as ABTC, will focus on accumulating Bitcoin through mining operations, with Trump family members and Hut 8 retaining 98% ownership. American Bitcoin, co-founded by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., previously raised $220 million for Bitcoin acquisitions and mining equipment. Eric Trump serves as chief strategy officer, while Hut 8 holds an 80% stake in the venture. Gryphon shares fell 3% Wednesday while Hut 8 remained flat.
