最新报道:James Howells, the British IT professional who lost access to 8,000 BTC in a 2013 landfill mishap, has denied rumors of abandoning his recovery efforts. Instead, he announced plans to tokenize the lost Bitcoin (worth ~$923M) into a new cryptocurrency called Ceiniog Coin (INI). The Layer 2 Bitcoin-based token will launch in late 2025 via OP_RETURN functionality, with 800 billion INI tokens representing the lost 8,000 BTC. Howells, after years of rejected landfill excavation proposals to Newport City Council, aims to recoup value through this Web3 project integrating with Stacks, Runes, and Ordinals. An ICO is planned for later this year.
