最新报道:According to Bijie.com, Hong Kong's Stablecoin Ordinance will take effect in August. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) held a technical briefing on the regulatory regime for stablecoin issuers on Tuesday afternoon (July 29th). The HKMA stated that as of today, no licenses have been issued. Institutions interested in applying for licenses are encouraged to contact the HKMA by the end of August to convey their supervisory expectations and provide appropriate feedback. The HKMA stated that licensing will be an ongoing process. Institutions that believe they are fully prepared and wish to be considered as soon as possible should submit their applications to the HKMA by the end of September. The HKMA will announce the stablecoin issuers licensed in the first phase in due course. The HKMA announced the publication of a consultation summary and guidelines for the "Guidelines on the Supervision of Licensed Stablecoin Issuers," the "Guidelines on Combating Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (Applicable to Licensed Stablecoin Issuers)," and the "Summary Notes on the Licensing Regime for Stablecoin Issuers," related to the licensing regime and application procedures, for the regulatory regime for stablecoin issuers, which will be implemented in August. Both sets of guidelines will be gazetted on August 1. The HKMA reminds the public to remain vigilant against any stablecoin issuers claiming to be regulated or licensed in Hong Kong, as well as those claiming to be applying for a license.
