According to people familiar with the matter, former IBM inventor Marco Pistoia has recently left. He became the head of JPMorgan Chase's applied research group in 2020. According to an employee memo sent on Monday, JPMorgan Chase has hired Rob Ott, global head of digital technology and quantum computing at State Street, to replace Pistoia.
