币界网报道:Hut 8 Corp. (NASDAQ | TSX: HUT) today announced the first power-up of its Vega data center, which is believed to be the world's largest single-site Bitcoin mining facility. Vega covers an area of 162,000 square feet and is equipped with a nominal energy capacity of 205 megawatts. When fully loaded, it can provide approximately 15 EH/s of Bitcoin mining power, which accounts for approximately 2% of the current global Bitcoin network hash rate. Vega will deploy up to 17,280 Bitmain U3S21EXPH servers, which is Bitmain's first large-scale commercial U-shaped straight core liquid-cooled ASIC mining machine, which can provide up to 860 TH/s of computing power and an energy efficiency of 13 J/TH. As a customer, Bitmain will deploy all approximately 15 EH/s of mining machines at Vega, which is expected to bring annualized revenue of US$110 million to US$120 million to Hut 8. The agreement also contains a purchase option, which, if exercised, will expand Hut 8's self-mining capacity from 10 EH/s to approximately 25 EH/s. Previous news is that Vega is expected to be powered on in the second quarter of 2025 to prepare for the approximately 15 EH/s hosting agreement reached with Bitmain.
