The company completed registration with the Dubai International Financial Center last week and confirmed that it is forming a team to focus on cryptocurrency trading and asset reserve strategies. Miami-based Hut 8 currently has Bitcoin mining operations in Texas, New York, and Alberta, Canada. The company chose Dubai as its new base mainly because of the region's friendly tax and regulatory environment for the cryptocurrency industry.
