币界网报道：World Chain, a new Ethereum Layer 2 network developed by the team behind Worldcoin, has launched with a focus on prioritizing "human-verified users" through its unique "priority blockspace" feature. The network, now live on mainnet, aims to serve over 13 million verified World ID holders while remaining open to all users. World Chain's design gives priority to transactions from verified humans during network congestion, while unverified transactions are processed during lower-demand periods. The network processes about 6 transactions per second currently, with plans to scale further. Worldcoin's developer Tools for Humanity collaborated with Ethereum core developers and Optimism on the project, which uses OP Stack technology. The launch follows Worldcoin's recent milestones including surpassing 10 million users across 160 countries and introducing personal custody for Orb-verified users. World Chain's native token will be WLD, with gas fees payable in ETH.
