Co-CEO Arun Sethi stated the license strengthens Kraken's ability to expand products, grow institutional and retail client bases, and deliver regulated services to more EU users. The MiCA approval confirms Kraken meets EU-wide standards for consumer protection, transparency, and oversight. As the world's sixth-largest crypto exchange by volume, Kraken follows competitors like Coinbase and Bybit in obtaining MiCA licenses in recent months.
