币界网报道:Japanese investment firm Metaplanet has acquired an additional 1,234 BTC for approximately $132.7 million, bringing its total bitcoin holdings to 12,345 BTC worth roughly $1.3 billion. The purchase, executed at around $107,557 per BTC, follows the company's recent $515 million fundraising through stock issuance as part of its "555 million plan" to secure 1% of bitcoin's supply. With this latest acquisition, Metaplanet has surpassed Tesla to become the seventh-largest corporate bitcoin holder globally. The Tokyo-listed firm, which began its bitcoin strategy in April 2024, recently revised its target to hold over 210,000 BTC by 2027. Despite a 0.94% intraday stock decline, Metaplanet shares remain up 353.5% year-to-date. MicroStrategy, led by Michael Saylor, maintains its position as the top corporate bitcoin holder with 592,345 BTC.
