The framework aims to enhance DeFi security and compliance by providing a structured methodology to assess project maturity through self-assessment tools and four-tier classifications (from enterprise-grade to nascent). Web3SOC also serves as a due diligence tool for institutions evaluating DeFi projects based on governance, security, financial stability, and regulatory compliance. The initiative aligns with Ethereum's growing positioning as a global settlement layer, supported by advocacy groups like Etherealize, which projects long-term ETH valuation at $740,000 per token. The framework mirrors traditional SOC standards used for organizational risk assessment.
