币界网报道:Plasma has increased its stablecoin deposit cap to $1 billion, which was fully subscribed within 30 minutes of opening. The firm clarified that the deposits are not equivalent to fundraising, as the public sale of its XPL token has not yet begun. Depositors gain the right to participate in the upcoming sale, with $50 million worth of XPL tokens to be sold at a $500 million fully diluted valuation. Plasma adjusted the deposit window to minimize bot interference and prioritize genuine participants. The vault currently holds over $974 million in stablecoins, including USDC, USDT, USDS, and Dai. Plasma, an EVM-compatible Bitcoin sidechain designed for zero-fee USDT transactions, previously raised $3.5 million in a Bitfinex-led round and $20 million in Series A funding. The stablecoin sector has seen heightened activity recently, including regulatory progress on the GENIUS bill, major financial institutions exploring stablecoin projects, and Circle's public listing.
