币界网报道:According to a report from Bijie.com on June 12, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) announced that former financial adviser Glenda Rogan was banned from the financial services industry for ten years. The investigation found that she transferred at least A$14.8 million of client funds to a cryptocurrency investment scam during her tenure from March 2022 to June 2023. Rogan falsely advertised the investment to clients as a "high-yield fixed interest account", concealed the high-risk nature of cryptocurrency, and lied that the transaction was conducted through a formal financial platform. The funds were eventually transferred to her personal account and converted into cryptocurrency, flowing to the "Financial Center" platform, which was listed as an unlicensed institution by ASIC. During the period of the misconduct, Rogan was an accountant and financial adviser for a group of companies called Fincare in the Sutherland and Wollongong regions.
