The legislation is currently undergoing analysis, with the goal of submitting it to the Hong Kong Legislative Council for deliberation in the first half of next year. Yan Meimei stated that the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) will coordinate the licensing of virtual asset trading and custody service providers, emphasizing the need for a unified licensing body.
