Pollak cautiously stated that Coinbase is "not rushing into token deployment" and "doesn't plan to announce a launch date anytime soon." He explained that the token launch is intended to "align incentives and token decentralization." Acknowledging the historical issues surrounding token issuance, Pollak stated that Coinbase is "proceeding with caution" while also collaborating and learning from projects on Base that have already responsibly issued tokens, such as Aerodrome.
