The service is powered by CASH, a stablecoin issued via Bridge — acquired by Stripe — and marks the first use of Stripe's Open Issuance platform, which allows businesses to launch interoperable stablecoins with simplified code and outsourced reserve management by institutions like BlackRock and Fidelity. This move aims to bring stablecoins into mainstream payments, with other stablecoins like mUSD and USDH also adopting the platform.
