最新报道:The BRICS mBridge Project, developed by the Bank for International Settlements and central banks of China, Thailand, Hong Kong, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, is a blockchain-based platform enabling direct cross-border settlements between central banks without intermediaries. Currently in its Minimum Viable Product stage, the system processes live transactions through validator nodes at commercial banks like Bank of China. While direct retail investment remains unavailable, indirect exposure may come through participating financial institutions like Visa and Mastercard. Unlike the conceptual BRICS Pay framework, mBridge represents operational technology that could reduce global reliance on SWIFT and the US dollar, with potential connections to national payment systems including India's UPI and Brazil's Pix.
