The report states that since May 7th of this year, users have activated the feature 1,580,930 times, of which the Wintermute team flagged 768,275 (48%) as criminally related. This stands in stark contrast to Vitalik Buterin's previous claims that the temporary smart contract feature would provide users with "superpowers" and "guardrails." EIP-7702 temporarily converts user signature accounts into smart contract wallets during transactions, aiming to enhance user experience and security.
