This is the third major round of compensation since the exchange's collapse in 2022, and has previously returned over $6 billion. The announcement stated that US customers will receive 40% of the compensation in this round, bringing the cumulative recovery rate to 95%; international users will receive an additional 6%, bringing the cumulative recovery rate to 78%; general unsecured and digital asset loan claims will receive 24%, bringing the cumulative recovery rate to 85%; and convenience claims will receive 120%, exceeding the face value of the debt. Funds will be disbursed through BitGo, Kraken, or Payoneer.
