IG Group acquires majority stake in Independent Reserve for $72 million

最新报道：According to a report from Bijie.com, online trading platform IG Group has acquired a majority stake in Australian cryptocurrency exchange Independent Reserve for AUD 109.6 million (US$72.4 million). IG will initially acquire a 70% stake in the company, with an option to purchase the remaining 30% based on future performance. The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in early 2026 for AUD 178 million (approximately US$117.6 million). Independent Reserve announced that its revenue for the fiscal year ending June 2025 was US$23.3 million, an 88% year-over-year increase. The platform also saw a 60% increase in monthly active users to approximately 11,600, and managed US$1.12 billion in assets across 129,400 funded accounts.
