Three Swiss banks complete interbank payment pilot using Ethereum

The pilot utilized deposit tokens to enable compliant interbank settlements, eliminating the need for traditional payment systems. The trial, which included peer-to-peer transfers between clients and the exchange of deposit tokens for assets, validated the feasibility of the relevant technical and legal frameworks. The three banks stated that they will next encourage participation from additional banks, infrastructure providers, and regulators to explore the system's scaled application.
