Africa’s Biggest Carrier MTN in Talks with US, European Firms on AI Data Centers Deal

最新报道：MTN Group Ltd., Africa's largest wireless carrier, is in talks with U.S. and European firms to build AI data centers across the continent, CEO Ralph Mupita said. The company will partially fund the expansion and is discussing partnerships to construct facilities, supply AI compute, and lease capacity to businesses and governments. MTN is also considering equipping centers with its own hardware and has begun building a $240 million data center in Nigeria.
