最新报道:According to Bijie.com, Wall Street giant Citigroup recently released a new forecast for Ethereum (ETH) on September 16 (UTC+8). In its base case scenario, the price of Ethereum will fall to $4,300 by the end of the year, down from its current level of approximately $4,515. The bank's forecast ranges widely, with a bull case scenario suggesting a price rise to $6,400 and a bear case scenario suggesting a drop to $2,200. Citi analysts noted that network activity remains a key driver of Ethereum's value, but much of the recent growth has occurred on the Layer 2 network, and how this value is "transferred" to the Ethereum mainnet remains unclear. The report assumes that only 30% of Layer 2 activity contributes to Ethereum's valuation, leading to a current price that is higher than its model based on network activity. Analysts believe this is likely due to strong capital inflows and market enthusiasm for tokenization and stablecoins. The report also notes that while Ethereum ETFs have seen smaller inflows than Bitcoin ETFs, they have a greater impact on price. However, given Ethereum's small market capitalization and low visibility among novice investors, Citigroup expects ETF inflows to remain limited. Furthermore, the report believes macroeconomic factors will only provide modest support. Given that the S&P 500 is approaching Citigroup's target of 6,600, analysts do not believe risk assets will see significant upside.
