Among contract attacks and related vulnerability exploitation incidents, 24 major incidents resulted in approximately $68.11 million in losses. Phishing attacks caused total losses exceeding $10 million in August, with the number of compromised addresses exceeding 10,000, representing increases of approximately 70% and 60% respectively compared to June. Some phishing tools have been updated to support bulk theft of assets in a single transaction. Regarding Pixiu scams and scams, 108 new Pixiu tokens were added to the Ethereum mainnet, Base, and BSC in August. These included 8 on ETH, 46 on Base, and 54 on BSC. In addition, a social engineering scam occurred on August 19th, involving 783 BTC (about 91 million US dollars).
