最新报道:According to Cryptonews, South Korea has sentenced three accomplices of V Global to three years in prison, suspended sentences, and five years of protective observation, respectively. They were also fined 660 million won (approximately $474,000), 426 million won (approximately $306,000), and 259 million won (approximately $186,000), respectively. The court found the three individuals guilty of soliciting customers for the "fake exchange" through multi-level marketing, helping to defraud approximately 50,000 investors of approximately $1.4 billion. The judge stated in the verdict that the three individuals "exploited the crypto-asset craze to cause astronomical losses," but also considered that some victims had received rebates, thus granting suspended sentences. Previously, V Global's CEO was sentenced to 25 years in prison by the Supreme Court of South Korea in 2023 as the principal offender. Several other executives received sentences ranging from 14 to 4 years.
