Barrick Mining Corp. Sells Hemlo Gold Mine For $1 Billion

最新报道：Barrick Mining Corp. (NYSE: B) has agreed to sell its Hemlo gold mine to Carcetti Capital Corp. (CVE: CART.H) for C$1.09 billion (US$720 million). The deal includes C$875 million in cash, C$50 million in Carcetti shares, and up to C$165 million in future production-linked payments. Barrick plans to use the proceeds to strengthen its balance sheet and return capital to shareholders. Carcetti will rename itself Hemlo Mining Corp. and aims to become a mid-tier Canadian gold producer. Barrick's stock has fallen 38% this year to US$29.48 per share.
