最新报道:According to Bijie.com, a rare large-scale slashing event occurred on Ethereum on September 10th, with 39 validators penalized for operator errors related to the SSV Network. This was one of the largest coordinated slashing events since Ethereum transitioned to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mechanism in 2022. According to data from the blockchain explorer Beaconcha.in, these validators' penalties highlight the risks associated with poorly maintained staking infrastructure. In Ethereum's PoS mechanism, validators are penalized for malicious or erroneous behavior, such as double-signing or validating multiple blocks in the same slot. In this case, the slashing of 39 validators was caused by operator errors, which may have included infrastructure configuration issues or signer misconfiguration. Slashed validators face severe penalties. According to Ethereum's slashing mechanism, a portion of their staked Ether will be burned, up to 1 ETH, and the validator will be gradually removed from the network over 36 days. During the exit period, the ether of the slashed validator will gradually decrease, and on the 18th day, it will also receive a "link penalty". If more validators are slashed at the same time, the penalty will be larger.
