最新报道：According to Bijie.com, Linea, the Ethereum layer 2 network built by Consensys, opened claims for its native asset, LINEA, on Wednesday and held a token generation event (TGE), kicking off a 90-day window ending on December 9th. The TGE allocated over 9.36 billion LINEA to eligible addresses, with any unclaimed tokens returned to the Linea Alliance Ecosystem Fund to support Linea and the Ethereum ecosystem. The eligibility snapshot was taken in July, and the verification portal went live last week. The project stated that users must also claim from the same address holding their LXP/LXP-L balance. Ian Wallis, head of business development, told The Block that the token is designed to reward contributors and fund Ethereum-related public goods. He believes the neutral distribution method is likely to attract institutions seeking "risk-adjusted returns in DeFi." The network, operational since July 2023, is designed as a zkEVM rollup compatible with existing Ethereum applications. The previously announced distribution framework allocates 85% of the supply to the ecosystem, including 10% fully unlocked for early adopters and builders, and 75% allocated to what the team calls one of the largest ecosystem funds in crypto. The Linea Alliance (members include Consensys, Eigen Labs, ENS, SharpLink Gaming, and Status) oversees the fund. There will be no team or VC allocations, and the token will not be used for on-chain governance. Instead, strategic decisions will be handled by a consensus body. Linea also outlined a fee design it says is a first for Layer 2. One-fifth of all network transaction fees paid in ETH will be destroyed at the protocol level, while the remaining 80% will be used to purchase and destroy LINEA, theoretically creating deflationary pressure on the token. The project positions LINEA as the "Silver of ETH," with native yields on bridge assets and a double-burn mechanism designed to return value to the Ethereum Layer 1 over time. Wallis added that Binance Alpha has integrated with Linea, OKX's XLaunch is running a DEX trading event where the Linea token will debut, and "many Tier 1 exchanges" plan to list, with more announcements to come. The Block previously reported that the Linea network experienced a brief service outage earlier that day. Blockchain data indicates the issue was resolved prior to the TGE.
