Throughout August, Ethereum surpassed Bitcoin in seven consecutive days of cumulative spot trading volume on centralized exchanges, ending Bitcoin's long-standing dominance of global spot trading volume. Total Ethereum trading volume on CEX platforms reached nearly $480 billion, while Bitcoin's was approximately $401 billion.
