Wintermute urges SEC to exclude network tokens from securities rules

最新报道：According to a report from Bijie.com, trading firm and market maker Wintermute has requested that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) confirm that network tokens should not be classified as securities. The firm stated that clear guidance on the security status of tokens is necessary to avoid misapplication of securities laws and ensure the continued growth of the crypto market. Wintermute stated that "network tokens" are "intrinsically linked to the functionality of a decentralized network or protocol" and are essential technological inputs to blockchain networks. As such, the firm stated that they are fundamentally different from financial products or securities.
