The upgrade included: a base fee of 1 gwei (BRIP-0002, used to alleviate congestion and ensure successful block creation), a block time lock of 2 seconds (BRIP-0003, previously fluctuating between 1.9–2.2 seconds to stabilize inflation and APR), and confirmed and consistent block rewards (BRIP-0004, automatically distributing PoL rewards with each block, eliminating the need for manual triggering).
