最新报道:According to Bijie.com, on September 3rd, the WeChat official account "Chongqing Rumor Refutation" published a post on September 2nd stating that it had recently received public reports that criminals were impersonating the Chongqing Branch of the People's Bank of China (PBOC) to engage in false advertising under the guise of promoting the digital RMB. These fraudulent claims included "paid promotion," "high returns," and "sharing merchant profits," deceiving the public and causing adverse social impacts. In response, the Chongqing Branch of the PBOC issued the following risk warning to the public: The digital RMB is a digital legal tender issued by the PBOC, exchangeable at a 1:1 ratio with physical currency. There is no room for speculation, and no promotional rebate programs are available. The Chongqing Branch of the PBOC has never issued any announcements claiming "high returns on digital RMB investment and trading," "rebates for promoting digital RMB," or "paid recruitment of digital RMB pilot promoters." Relevant units, businesses, and the general public are advised to remain vigilant, strengthen identification, and be wary of scams.
