最新报道:According to Bloomberg, Eric Trump, second son of US President Donald Trump and an advisor to Metaplanet, a Japanese-listed Bitcoin treasury company, has acquired 3.3 million shares of the company through a stock purchase option. He will also attend the special shareholders' meeting on September 1st, where Metaplanet will vote on the issuance of up to 555 million preferred shares. If approved, the company could raise up to 555 billion yen (approximately $3.8 billion). However, analysts point out that Metaplanet's Bitcoin financing "flywheel" strategy has recently begun to slow. As of August 29th, the company's stock price had fallen 54% from its June 16th high, while Bitcoin had risen 2%. This has led Evo Fund, which previously had a stock purchase option agreement with the company, to reduce its willingness to exercise its warrants, resulting in a recent decrease in Metaplanet's Bitcoin holdings. Natixis analyst Eric Benoist warned that the Bitcoin premium is key to the success of Metaplanet's "flywheel" financing strategy, but available capital is not in unlimited supply.
