最新报道:According to a CNBC report on August 28th, the Trump administration is considering at least 11 candidates to succeed Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, at least three of whom have publicly expressed positive views on cryptocurrencies. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent recently stated that these candidates include Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan, former St. Louis Fed President James Bullard, Fed Vice Chairman Philip Jefferson, Fed Governor Chris Waller, Deputy Chairman of Supervision Michelle Bowman, and former Fed Governor Larry Lindsey. Also mentioned are Bush administration economic advisor Marc Sumerlin, Jefferies Chief Market Strategist David Zervos, and BlackRock's Chief Investment Officer for Global Fixed Income Rick Rieder. Jefferies has close ties to the cryptocurrency sector, having supported the IPOs of crypto-related companies such as eToro and Circle Internet Group and investing in Michael Saylor's Bitcoin initiative early on. BlackRock's Rieder, on the other hand, has a positive outlook on cryptocurrencies, stating that Bitcoin could become an important part of asset allocation and believes that cryptocurrencies "are here to stay." Furthermore, Federal Reserve candidates Waller and Bowman have recently expressed openness to cryptocurrencies. Bowman suggested that Fed staff could invest in cryptocurrencies to better understand the technology, while Waller believes the banking industry need not fear crypto payments. In contrast, current Fed Chairman Powell has a more cautious stance on cryptocurrencies, stating that Bitcoin is more of a competitor to gold than a replacement for the dollar.
