Scammers impersonate official representatives and, under the guise of a "security update," request adjustments to API permissions, ultimately gaining control of accounts. Binance reminds users that they will not ask for passwords or credentials over the phone. They recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) and Passkey, strengthening API permission management, and verifying all communications through official channels. If you suspect you've been scammed, contact Binance customer service immediately to revoke your API key and freeze your account.
